Learning and Skills Assessor Apprenticeship Level 3
The primary aim of this course is to support new and aspiring assessors to become competent assessors in their vocational fields. The course aims to support the assessors in using a range of assessment methods to support and assess their own candidates in their chosen career paths. The learning and skills assessor apprenticeship is designed to equip the assessors with the knowledge skills and behaviours required for the role of assessor.
Course Details
- You will be required to have achieved 2 A Levels in English and Maths (or equivalant) by completion of the course
Fundamentals of assessment practice – the legal and ethical frameworks
How to plan and conduct inclusive assessment using a range of assessment methods and approaches
A range of communication methods to provide timely constructive feedback on assessment
Quality assurance of assessment practice
How to ensure sustainability in assessment practice
A range of knowledge, skills and behaviours relating to the role of assessor

If the amount shown is more than £0.00 and you are aged 19 and over at the start of the course, you may have options to help fund your studies with us. The funding you can receive depends on your personal circumstances, and could mean you are entitled to fully subsidised or reduced tuition fees.
Many of our courses are fully funded for 16-18 year olds however not all courses are available for this age group.
You may also be entitled to support with travel, childcare and equipment.

I’ve recently completed my Level 5 HR Consultant Partner Apprenticeship at South Devon College and have enjoyed every minute! South Devon College has provided me with the tools and resources I needed to complete the course.
