Barbering Certificate Level 2
The Level 2 Award in Barbering course will give you the opportunity to develop clipper and scissor cutting techniques that are used every day in the Barbering profession. You will also cover the trimming and shaping of beards.
This course offers a mix of practical and theory sessions delivered by a qualified and experienced Barber. The emphasis is towards practical development and theory sessions to develop the skills required for employment.
Once you have reached a suitable standard you will work on clients; ideally male friends and family members, then members of the general public.
As a Barber the highest standards of personal presentation are required. This is more than neat uniform, make-up and hair. It is about developing communication skills and personal mannerism that inspire clients’ confidence in the Barber.
No prior experience is required, you will have theory as well as practical sessions.

The end point assessment project has enabled me to showcase my new skills by designing a solution to a business need. Amy Law – HR Advisor, Core Highways
