Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professions) Full-time
The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a course that enables you to progress to university. The Health Professionals pathway is ideal for anyone interested in working in:
Adult Nursing
Paediatric Nursing
Paramedicine
Mental Health Nursing
Midwifery
Occupational Therapy
Physiotherapy
Speech and Language Therapy
Any other health professional role
The core subjects you cover are health studies, psychology and biology. Alongside three core academic subjects, you will receive training in study skills, support in academic writing and referencing, as well as guidance with the UCAS application process.
The Health Professionals pathway is widely accepted on a variety of university courses including Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Training and many more.
If you are under 24, and haven’t achieved a Level 3 before, your course can be funded. Alternatively, you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to pay for your course fees, which you will not have to repay if you progress to University and complete your degree.

This course is studied full time for one academic year. You will be in lessons three days a week and you will be expected to undertake study outside of this time in order to complete your assignments. If you would prefer to study part-time, click here to apply.

- You must have English and Maths GCSE Grade 4(C) or equivalent for all Access to HE Diplomas (exceptions will be considered if you do not need this criteria in order to progress to your selected Higher Education Institute)
