In a case of life imitating art, the Performing Arts students from South Devon College are taking to the stage to portray a relatable character – a student!
The performers will have Torbay thinking pink when they present their production of ‘Legally Blonde JR The Musical’, following the life and adventures of the famous Californian sorority girl Elle Woods, a Gemini with a double Capricorn moon.
Elle wants to win her ex-boyfriend back by earning a Harvard Law degree, after he deems her ‘not serious enough’ for his proposed career as a successful senator and, in the process, she overcomes stereotypes against blondes and triumphs in her studies.
As to whether she wins back her ex Warner Huntington III, there are no spoilers here – you’ll have to come and watch the high-energy performance to find out!
There is no dress code, but you’ve got to Delta Nu swear to please don’t wear white after Labour Day – if you know, you know!
Please come and cheer Elle on – the show promises to be fun, frivolous and full of frolics. The performances run on Monday 20th May, Tuesday 21st May, and Wednesday 22nd May, with curtain up at 7pm.
