Student, Niquita, walks 18 hours for charity in aid of veterans
One of the Learning Opportunities students, Niquita Potter, completed a huge charity walk recently in aid of veterans.
Niquita, as an ex-army cadet has already raised over £3000 through two arduous walks. She intends to continue raising money for a group of people she respects hugely.
She walked 25 miles in Cornwall between St Ives and Port Towan and it took 18 hours to complete. It was beyond her previous longest limits but she is a determined young lady who never gives up.
She tackled the walk during the last week of August 2022. She split it into a two-day walk with wild camping overnight with her amazing support team (mainly her sister Nadine)
The charity she raised money for was ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. ABF exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.
Niquita has exceeded her target by over £600, raising a fantastic £905. If anyone would like to add to this this, you can donate here.
Well done Niquita!
