Established by the 16–24 Work Club Kingsbridge, the Youth and Business Achievement Awards aim to ‘recognise, celebrate, inspire and motivate local 16–24 year olds and local employers, businesses and professionals to continue to build on and making a positive community to live and work in’.
Chrissie Morgan is currently enrolled on the Level 4 AAT Accounting apprenticeship at South Devon College and works at Darnells Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Newton Abbot. The Apprentice of the Year recognises an ‘Apprentice who has demonstrated commitment to learning, has added value to the business and stands out as inspiring’.
There are several categories people can be nominated for including; Apprentice Employer of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Learner of the Year, Employer of the Year, Peer mentor/Volunteer/Enabler of the Year, 16-24 Entrepreneur and the Jack Tanner Legacy Award.
The awards ceremony took place at Kingsbridge Community College sixth form on 28th November.
