This course provides an introduction to decision making in operational environments, helping you understand how effective decisions support performance, quality and risk reduction.
Day one explores decision making models, problem solving frameworks and the role of data, judgement and experience in operational decisions.
Day two focuses on tools such as root cause analysis, SWOT, cost benefit analysis and process mapping. You will apply these methods to realistic workplace challenges.
The final day examines leadership behaviours, communication and teamwork within decision making processes. A group simulation brings together course concepts to solve an operational challenge.
By the end of the course, you will understand how structured decision making improves efficiency and be able to apply practical tools to workplace situations.
