This course introduces you to the role of business analytics in supporting data driven organisational decisions.
Day one covers types of data, basic analytical concepts and the importance of data quality. You will examine how organisations use data to understand performance, predict trends and evaluate improvement opportunities.
Day two focuses on analytical tools and techniques. You will work with simple datasets to explore dashboards, visualisation principles, descriptive statistics and basic interpretation. You'll learn how to translate data into meaningful insights.
The final day examines decision making processes, biases and communication of findings. You will practise presenting insights and making recommendations based on data.
By the end of the course, you will understand how to interpret business data and use analytics to inform decisions.
