The AAT Level 4 Diploma for Professional Accounting Technicians is the highest level of the AAT qualification pathway and is designed for those looking to develop advanced accounting and finance skills for a professional career in the industry. Building on knowledge gained at Level 3, this qualification provides training in financial and management accounting, taxation, audit, and business awareness.
This employer-focused qualification has been developed to reflect the changing demands of modern finance roles. All five units are mandatory, ensuring you develop a consistent set of professional skills and technical knowledge.
You will attend weekly classes and be expected to undertake independent study to support your learning. All assessments are computer-based and computer-marked, enabling faster results and providing a flexible, modern assessment experience.
On successful completion, you can progress to professional accountancy qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CIPFA, or continue to develop your career in accounting, finance, taxation, audit, or business management.

The AP role was originally introduced to bridge the gap between Nurses and Healthcare Assistants. We are able to take on a more diverse role to flexibly meet the complex needs of patients in the community and in hospital.
