Teaching and Education

At South Devon College we recognise the need for great teachers and assistants who can support the local community. Teaching staff encompass a range of skills and talents and wish to make a positive contribution by sharing their experiences and expertise with others.

Our dedicated tutors have experience working in fields of education and training including contributors for various media and educational organisations, authors of core industry textbooks, and professional development in new and emerging concepts. You will receive a personal learning plan enabling you to develop and grow in a supportive environment. If you are currently teaching or wish to move into this sector, our courses will help you to enhance your skills, reflect on current ideas and resourcefully investigate the professional opportunities open to you.

Our courses are designed for teaching in the Education and Training Sector, including further education, higher and adult education, sixth form, youth and community services, health and uniformed services, private and training organisations. Adult and community education offers teaching careers for graduates and non- graduates across a varied curriculum.

Whether you’d like to take your first step into teaching or develop your specialist skills further, there are training options to suit all. Discover how far you can go below!
