The South Devon High School Careers programme has been developed in consultation with the South Devon High School Senior Leadership Team, Governors and Heads of Tutorial and Learner Progress having been informed by pupil and employer feedback. The programme aims to fulfil Gatsby Benchmarks and meet Careers Development Institute framework elements including Self-Development, Careers Exploration and Career Management.
Each vocational subject at South Devon High School offers a range of activities including attendance to external events, participation with community projects, visits from industry experts, and work experience opportunities and LMI in the specific sector. These activities are informed by regular sector focus group meetings with industry leaders, research and staff undertaking Continuing Professional Development.
