Yoga and Pilates come from very different roots and their aims are varied. The benefits of practice for both disciplines are vast and they are a powerful tool for maintenance of health and development of a strong body and mind. Participants will work physically in gentle postures and activities with adaptations. At the end of each session use of mindfulness techniques for relaxation and mental well-being will also be used. The course is designed for anyone and learners will not be asked to take part in advanced or strenuous postures or exercises. Participants will learn a range of exercises to aid mobility and flexibility and also key techniques to improve core strength and develop muscular strength over all. The activities will progress as the participants improve and develop over the course.
