Yoga Instructor

This qualification is aimed at learners who want to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a Yoga Instructor. You will learn the philosophy of Yoga and the knowledge and skills to be able to plan and deliver Yoga classes for individuals or groups of people. (prerequisite is the level 2 Fitness Instructor Theory qualification). To qualify for this Yoga Instructor qualification, it is required that you pass the level 2 Fitness Instructor Theory Mandatory Units. This is built into the course for those who do not currently hold this qualification. On completion you will be qualified to work as a freelance self-employed Yoga Instructor or at a health, leisure and fitness centre.

The units covered are:

1. Advanced anatomy and physiology (Level 3)
2. Health, safety and welfare (Level 2 mandatory units)
3. Principles of fitness (Level 2 mandatory units)
4. Know how to support clients (Level 2 mandatory units)
5. Philosophy and fundamentals of Yoga
6. Programming and delivery of a Yoga session
