This course involves plenty of practical activity and portfolio building, designed to give learners a broad range of important skills to prepare them for living independently.
The course is delivered in small groups with a dedicated tutor and curriculum support assistants, who can provide any extra help required. Upon completion, we offer a laddered progression route to develop further skills that will support personal development and independence.
“I was one of the first students to join the Internship Programme and gained work experience in different departments at Torbay Hospital. My experiences and the skills I learnt helped me then gain employment with the NHS at St Edmunds Community Care Support Centre.”Emily Bayly
