Veterinary Nursing Assistants

This part-time qualification is ideal if you are or would like to work or volunteer in a veterinary environment to gain knowledge and skills and a recognised qualification. You will complete units in; basic animal nursing, parasitology and zoonosis, restraint techniques, anatomy and physiology and reception skills. Within these units you will cover first aid, health and hygiene, infection control, monitoring and basic nursing skills. This course can help you progress towards a career as a Vet Nurse or care assistant. No formal qualifications are needed but you must be able to communicate well, both in writing and verbally. You will work in our specialist facilities and be taught by a expert staff experienced in Vet Nursing.
