Understanding Common Childhood Illnesses (Online) Level 2
The purpose of this qualification is to increase your knowledge and understanding of common childhood illnesses to enable you to support the development and wellbeing of infants and children you support/care for. You will learn how to stop cross contamination of common childhood bacterial infections and viruses.
You will explore different types of infection and how they are spread. You will gain knowledge of common childhood illnesses and how to recognise signs and symptoms when a child is unwell. You will explore a range of allergies and food intolerance as well as the purpose of immunisation.
Throughout your studies you will be supported by a personal tutor and will access learning resources and assessments online allowing you fit your studies in with any existing commitments.
This course will be fully subsidised for those who are over 19, have been resident in the UK for three years, with an exception of those who live within a devolved adult education area and those currently enrolled on an apprenticeship – please click here for more information.
