Understanding Autism Certificate

The Understanding Autism Certificate Level 2 is a distance learning course that is aimed at those looking to understand more about autism. Perhaps you work with people, or have a family member with this diagnoses? The course will increase your understanding of autism and how best to support individuals.

You will be sent the resources and materials in a pack to complete. The resources and materials will cover each topic in detail, allowing you to learn more about the condition. This allows you to complete the course flexibly and in the comfort of your own home. However, you are also welcome to use the college library at our Paignton campus.

Despite there being no formal classes, you will have the support of a tutor who can offer phone or face-to-face tutorials. You will have approximately 7-10 weeks to complete your three modules. The suggested amount of time to work on this is approximately five to eight hours a week.

What will I learn?

“I really enjoyed studying Health and Social Care. You're treated as an adult at the College and the tutors get to know you on a personal level, they are really supportive and their knowledge is invaluable. I felt as though I grew as a person during my time there, which is so important."Caitlyn Crofts
