Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Welding Award Level 3
The Level 3 Award in Advanced Welding Skills is ideal if you’ve worked in welding for some time and have plenty of experience, and if you want to develop your skills further so that you can undertake complex welding work and quality control.
This qualification will provide you with the practical skills to weld a variety of different joints in different positions using the Tungsten Inert Gas welding process.
You will also gain the theoretical knowledge relating to the welding process.

Course Details
- You must have previously achieved a Level 2 qualification in Tungsten Inert Gas welding and be welding on a regular basis
How to produce a single-vee pipe butt weld in the PA flat-rotated, PC horizontal, PF vertical-upwards, and HLO45 inclined positions
How to produce a pipe tee fillet weld in the PF vertical upwards position
How to select welding parameters for a given application
