The F6 Unit in Taxation is an ACCA Fundamental Level paper, and will develop knowledge and skills relating to the tax system as applicable to individuals, single companies and groups of companies.
It will cover elements of tax such as the computation of income tax for individuals, corporation tax for companies (and groups of companies), chargeable gains and the effect of national insurance contributions on employees, employers and the self-employed. The paper will also look at value added tax (VAT) with respect to both incorporate and unincorporated businesses.
All of our ACCA units are delivered at the Professional Centre in Heathfield, Newton Abbot, and entry to this course is through tutor interview, and requires relevant prior qualifications and work experience. Whilst prior knowledge of taxation is desirable, it is not essential for this unit of study.

"I left the army in August 2016 after serving as a front-line medic for 7 years. I decided to visit the college to explore my options as I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a vet. I chose to study an Access to Higher Education course with pathways in Chemistry, Biology and Applied Science- alongside my GCSE maths and English. The staff at the college have been very supportive. Their industry experience and depth of knowledge has been invaluable to my journey. I recently had an interview at the University of Bristol and was offered a place at the School of Veterinary Sciences – one of only 6 in the UK. The college provided me with a stepping stone to my desired career."Rebecca Williams
