Coaching and Fitness Diploma

This course focuses on what it means to work in the world of sport and fitness, covering both the theory and practical skills that are required for elite-level sports performance and coaching. It’s the natural progression from the Level 2 course, building on your skills to help you grow as a sporting professional and instructor.

Practical experience is just as important as the theory on this course. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to work in the community, either through volunteering or a work placement, to get the practical experience employers want to see and to help your CV stand out from the crowd.

This course is all about preparing you for employment or further study, giving you the skills that the sport and fitness industry require. You’ll have opportunities to work towards industry qualifications and gain the practical experience that will help your employment prospects and progression options.

Upon completion, you will be well prepared for employment, an apprenticeship or further study on the FdSc Sport and Exercise Science at University Centre South Devon. Whatever you choose to do, your tutors and our support team will sit down with you and help you assess your options. Whether you want to be a fitness instructor, a personal trainer, or a coach, our team of experts know exactly what you’ll need and how to achieve it, so you can focus on getting your dream job in sport.
