Social Sciences and Education

This course is suitable for those who have a passion for understanding human behaviour, with a particular focus on children and young people, and for those who aspire to progress into Higher Education. The course is comprised of four qualifications: Level 3 Extended Certificate in Psychology, Level 3 Diploma in Criminology, L3 Extended Project and GCE Childcare and Education. The course balances theoretical and practical study, giving you the tools to succeed in this rewarding sector.

You will be based in College for study three days a week and attend a placement on a fourth day, where you will apply your knowledge of theories relating to child development and educational practice.

Upon completion of this programme you could consider progressing onto Higher Education either at South Devon College or at an External University.
