Silver Jewellery – Spinner Ring
Develop craft skills in silversmithing, specifically making a spinner ring with two spinners.
In this workshop you will make a spinner ring in sterling silver. You will learn about filing, texturing, soldering and forming rings.
The tutor will demonstrate the techniques to be used in the session while you watch. Afterwards the tutor will check your understanding of the processes and safe use of equipment and will supervise while you use your new skills.
You will develop skills and knowledge of how silver jewellery is made and what is possible using few tools in the hope they will want to continue making silver jewellery at home or at a class in order to provide an engaging hobby.

- You should have a genuine interest in this subject
Provide an introduction to silversmithing as a means of making presents or a hobby that can be continued at home
To make an item of jewellery you can be proud of
You will be encouraged to compare ideas and techniques with the tutor and other students
