Security Industry Short Courses

South Devon College provides a range of short courses that will enable you to gain the necessary qualifications for your Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence, or to develop and enhance your existing knowledge. These courses may lead on to apprenticeships, employment or to further study. For employers we can create bespoke individual courses including Health and Safety, Fire Safety Awareness, Customer Service, Conflict Management, Physical Intervention and employability skills.

Courses for the unemployed
Are you unemployed? If so, speak to your Job Centre adviser about South Devon College’s Sector Based Work Academy. On this course you will study qualifications including Personal Development, Stewarding and Working as a Door Supervisor and receive help and support with employment.

My ambition is to work in the protective services industry as it will be very rewarding. The course is very informative and has provided me with the first step to realising my dream career.
