Security Industry

South Devon College provides a range of short courses that will enable you to gain the necessary qualifications for your Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence, or to develop and enhance your existing knowledge.

These courses may lead on to apprenticeships, employment or to further study. All of our physical intervention courses use the Aegis Skills programme, and are awarded by the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC). We can also organise bespoke advanced physical intervention through Aegis Skills.

What will I learn?

"I enjoyed the physical intervention aspect of the course and learning the different self defensive moves. The course involves a lot of teamwork so you really get to know the other people on the course which is great. The tutors are friendly and approachable."Owen Powell
