This course aims to develop your knowledge and skills within a variety of trades including; carpentry, bricklaying, plastering, painting and decorating and plumbing. If you are looking for a career in the construction industry and have already completed the level one construction multi-skills course, then this is the next step for you.
This largely practical-based course will provide you with the industry-standard skills that employers desire. If you have the drive to pursue a career within the construction industry but are unsure of which trade to choose, or would like a building maintenance career, then this is the course for you.
Sessions are based in our well-equipped and up-to-date workshops or our modern classrooms. The course will build on your previous knowledge and will develop your skills and knowledge; all tasks will be designed to suit individual needs and requirements. All of our staff are very skilled, friendly and will support you throughout your studies.
Shaun started teaching after spending 23 years in the Infantry, leaving as a Company Sergeant Major. During his time he has under taken many roles within the Infantry from a Mortar Fire Controller to working within Intelligence gathering. Shaun has served in Northern Ireland seven times, Europe, Africa, America, Bosnia and Afghanistan. Whilst serving, Shaun also spent two years working within the Search and Rescue Organisation.Shaun Aston
This course is available at our Newton Abbot Campus at the Brunel Skills Centre and is home to training in construction and hospitality and catering for local schools. You can also enjoy refreshments at the on-site Brunel Café.
