If you want to become an expert in one of most dynamic industries in the UK, then this is the course you need. It takes all of your skills and knowledge from the intermediate course and takes them a step further, giving you a real understanding of security operations and how to supervise security staff.
This fulltime (3 days per week) advanced course builds upon the intermediate course and you will study more in depth qualifications including Working as a Door Supervisor (SIA licence linked), Working as a CCTV Operator (SIA licence linked), Front of Stage Pit Barrier operations, Principles of Providing Security Services and first aid. You will undertake work experience in supervisory roles and visit organisations across the country which you will plan, including prisons, sports stadiums and CCTV control rooms.
You will also plan and carry out fundraising activities throughout the year. Learning will take place through theoretical and practical study and assessment and you will have the benefit of guest lectures from external industry experts. The course covers all aspects of the industry, with the opportunity to participate in a work placement, where you’ll get real and valuable experience out on the job. You’ll see what goes into supervising an event and keeping the general public safe. Everything you study has been designed to help you develop as a professional. It’s more than just the knowledge – it’s the skills and experience that will help you begin a long and successful career in this exciting industry, where every event offers a new challenge.
You must have demonstrable work experience or knowledge of a related subject.
Upon successful completion of the course, you could progress onto a higher education course, into employment or an apprenticeship.
Please note: you must have completed the Protective Services Intermediate Level 2 course prior to starting this course.
