This recreational course has been designed for adults who would like to be able to paint portraits using a variety of mediums. The aim is to find ways of capturing a likeness to the subject being painted and develop techniques associated with measuring perspective and the application of paint using different approaches. You will learn about scale and measuring, proportion, the application of paint using watercolour and acrylic paints, lights and darks to give depth and attention to detail using fine brushwork. You will have a better understanding of how to capture a person with drawing and painting and be able to convey the character of the person.
