After completing my Level 3 BTEC in Software Development I went on to do a BSc (Hons) Cyber Security Management degree at Bournemouth University. During my first year I qualified for Cyber Security Challenge UK's end of year masterclass competition, where the top 42 contenders (of all ages) from around the country go head to head in a bid to be crowned cyber champion of the year. I also was selected to represent the UK in the European Cyber Security Challenge held in Malaga. I was the only girl to qualify for Team UK. Alongside these successes, I also spent the majority of the year competing in national ethical hacking competitions around the country with my university and attending cyber security camps hosted by Cyber Security Challenge UK.Sophia McCall
