This is a knowledge based qualification suitable for anyone wanting to develop their knowledge on mental health. It aims to: raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health difficulties, dispel some of the myths and misconceptions frequently linked to mental health issues and develop your knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues.
This course is completed via distance learning, allowing you the flexibility of studying in your own time. There are a range of teaching materials that you will work your way through and at the end of each section you will complete a small assessment. The course is chunked into small sections so that you can complete parts of the course even if you have a short amount of time.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however it is recommended that you are confident in using computers and have regular internet access. You must be aged 19 + and have lived in the UK for the last three years.
