Introduction to Professional Cooking

You will need to be passionate, motivated, organised and have a real interest in working in a people orientated industry, by developing a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.

Practical skills will be taught, developed and assessed in our training kitchens and restaurant. Lessons will involve practical demonstrations, theory, guest chefs and speakers, industry visits plus computer-based activities will contribute to your learning. A portfolio of practical assessments, under pinning knowledge will evidence achievement on the course.

You’ll gain skills to work in a professional kitchen in a hotel, restaurant, school.
