Introduction to Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Settings Award Level 1
This course will develop your knowledge and awareness of health, social care and children’s and young people’s settings. You will also gain an understanding of fundamental topics such as communication, principles and values, safeguarding, and equality and inclusion.
This course is six weeks in duration and has a blended delivery with three face-to-face teaching sessions on alternate weeks, with assessment booklets to complete to achieve the qualification.
If you are aged 16+ and live in or support residents in the TQ1 to TQ5 Torbay Council postcode area, then you may be eligible to have this course funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). This course will be fully subsidised for those who are over 19, have been resident in the UK for three years, with an exception of those who live within a devolved adult education area and those currently enrolled on an apprenticeship – please click here for more information.
