Introducing Caring for Children and Young People Level 2

If you’re a caring and compassionate person, drawn to helping people, then this could be the course for you. It will introduce you to the world of childcare and supporting young people, leading to a career that makes a real – and lasting – difference.

You’ll be studying topics such as child development and outdoor learning, as well as the professional skills you’ll need in the workplace, like effective communication and working in a team. You will be based in College for three days a week learning the essential knowledge required to work with children, before putting theory into practice during a placement in an early years setting for two days a week.

You will be taught by supportive and professional staff with years of experience, using a variety of methods that includes the latest technology and our extensive bank of early years resources. This course is achievable at and award, certificate or diploma standard. The diploma option will enable you to gain a licence to practice and access employment.

Upon successful completion you will be able to progress to the Childcare and Education Diploma Level 3.
