The YMCA Teaching Pilates Diploma Level 3 course is perfect if you’re looking to learn how to programme and deliver freelance Pilates sessions, as well as developing your knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology.
This qualification will allow you to work in leisure facilities or as a freelance Pilates instructor. You may also have opportunities in marketing within the health and wellness sector.
Entry requirements: If you do not already acquire a Level 2 and Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology theory qualification, this can be built into the course. However, please note you will be required to attend an earlier start date to achieve this, which can be discussed upon enrolment. Exercise to Music Level 2 or Teaching Yoga Diploma Level 3 are desirable.
If you are aged 19 and over you may have options to help fund your studies with us. The funding you can receive depends on your personal circumstances, and could mean you are entitled to free or reduced course fees. You may also be entitled to support with travel, childcare and equipment. To find out exactly what you could receive, contact our Helpzone team for a free, impartial appointment, with no commitment necessary.
This course is recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REP’s), accredited by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and regulated by Ofqual.

"I teach across all of the sports courses on offer at the College. Before pursuing a career in teaching, I was a Physical Trainer with the RAF for seven years. I am a strong advocate for the outstanding learning environment and inspirational teaching available to students at the College. I encourage students to study additional qualifications, unique to the College, to enhance further study and employment options."Danny Gaze
