This is a combined course of MOT testing (Classes 4 and 7) Level 2 and Inspection Accreditation Level 3, offered at a reduced rate when booked together.
This qualification is designed to help experienced and knowledgeable mechanics enhance their career. The MOT Testing (Classes 4 and 7) Level 2 course is delivered over five days and the Inspection Accreditation Level 3 course is delivered over one day, a total of six days overall. If you are a Diagnostic or Master Technician you should ideally be working in the light vehicle sector of the industry and have at least three and five years experience respectively.
This is to ensure you are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to diagnose system faults, rectify faults including replacing components and return the vehicle systems to manufacturer specification. Master technicians also need to liaise with customers at all levels and be able to transfer their technical knowledge to others such as apprentices and technicians. To complete this course you must have current and full UK driving license for all the vehicle classes you want to test and have no unspent convictions for criminal offences connected with the MOT testing scheme, motor trade or involving acts of violence or intimidation and be ‘of good repute’.
