This part-time evening course is designed for people with a real passion for gardening and growing plants. The Horticulture Certificate Level 2 will develop your existing skills, giving you a broad range of knowledge relating to the growth of plants and how they can benefit us.
You will also gain an understanding of plant science, enabling you to relate the biology of plants to horticultural techniques. You will learn in our specialist Horticulture facilities and have access to expert staff and excellent resources.
You will be assessed practically and by written coursework. You will work outside, so will need suitable clothing and footwear. There are no formal entry requirements but you must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

“Having seen the facilities and met with the team, I was really excited to start my course. I’ve learnt so much in my time here, using specialist equipment and creating and maintaining our own garden. I can’t wait to progress and take my skills into employment.”Jamie Williams
