Make a Hooky Rug Seat Pad

If you enjoy crafts, hand-sewing and stitching you will enjoy this. It is a craft that you can pick up and get on with anywhere, in front of the TV, on the train or sat out in the garden as no electricity is needed. Make a stunning seat pad from next to nothing and at little expense. Use your old unwanted clothes, fabrics and wools, and rag-rug techniques. The process is very therapeutic and highly addictive. Most of all it is recycling and an inexpensive craft to do.
You need only enjoy crafts and making things. Sewing and stitching skills are a bonus but not essential.
You will learn how to design your own original textile piece, putting colours and materials together for best effect and producing a beautiful and useful seat pad.
You will learn through demonstrations given to the group, one to one tuition, and group and individual guidance. There will be specialist reference books and actual rag rugs for you to look at. Internet research is encouraged so you can gain inspiration from other rag rug artists and their work.
