Health and Social Care Traineeship Level 1
The Health and Social Care Traineeship programme is an 11 week course which provides you with both theory and practical experience. This course is an excellent opportunity to decide if a career in Health and Social Care is right for you.
You will spend one day per week developing your maths, English and digital skills, and one day per week studying Health and Social Care. Within your Health and Social Care sessions, you will have the opportunity to develop your practical skills within a simulated environment and you’ll also undertake 12 hours of placement per week within a Health or Adult Social Care setting to get real hands-on experience.
Following completion of this traineeship, you may progress onto an apprenticeship programme or full time employment.
- You should have a genuine interest in this subject
- You will need to complete a DBS Check
- Students aged 16 and over qualified up to Level 3 are eligible for traineeships

This course is fully funded for 16-18 year olds (if applicable to the course).
