Health and Science: Health Pathway T Level
The T Level in Health is a really exciting opportunity to gain knowledge, understanding, skills and behaviour for a career in the health and care sector. You will be taught through class-based learning blended with vocational specialists with practical placements supported by industry specialists.
Your curriculum will be split into core technical, integrating health and science, and occupational specialist components. Examples of topics you may study include:

Safeguarding in Healthcare
Supporting with Clinical assessments
Your industry placement will run alongside your studies and our Industry Placement Co-ordinator is available to provide advice and guidance on possible opportunities for you to complete your minimum 315 hours placement whilst maximising your clinical skills exposure working with a range of health professionals.
T Level assessments take place over two years with a range of methods being utilised to enable you to demonstrate your knowledge and skills. These include class-based tasks, external written examinations and an employer-set project focused on application of core knowledge. Additional external assessments based on your occupational specialism will include case studies, practical skills assessments, and a professional discussion.
This qualification is an ideal opportunity for you to work in this sector, specialising in a clinical capacity. After this T Level, you could progress to:
Higher education, university level study such as a degree in healthcare practice or nursing
Employment as healthcare or ambulance support worker
Apprenticeship as a senior healthcare support worker specialising in pathways including adult nursing, mental health or allied health professions
- You will need to have achieved 5 GCSEs at grade 5 to include English Language, Maths and Science
Assisting registered health professionals with clinical or therapeutic tasks and interventions
Undertake physiological measurements
Assisting with care and needs to ensure comfort and wellbeing
Infection prevention and control in health specific settings
Practical lessons in the Skills Suite
Exposure to a range of healthcare settings
