Gas Engineering Diploma

This evening course is for those who are currently working or looking at working within the Gas Sector. The course allows you to develop the knowledge and practise the skills required for employment in the gas engineering industry.

You will develop and practise the skills required for employment in gas engineering such as relevant gas safety principles, installing and maintaining appliances such as gas boilers, water heaters and unvented hot water cylinders. This course will run on a Monday and Tuesday evening.

It is essential that you work alongside an approved Gas Safe engineer as they will be expected to sign off your work on-site and the write ups/evidence statements in your portfolio.

Upon successful completion, you can apply for a Gas Safe ID card and appear on the Gas Safe Register for the relevant gas categories, allowing you to progress into employment as a gas engineer.

“The Public Services course at the College sparked my passion to become a Royal Air Force Physical Education/Training Officer. I gained a comprehensive insight into what it means to join each public service – due to the level of engagement and trips we experienced with each force. The support and encouragement from the staff was excellent; it gave me the room to fail and grow as many times as I needed and the motivation I needed to succeed.”Lewis Ray
