Further Mathematics A Level
During this A Level you will develop a deeper understanding of mathematical principles and techniques, as you learn additional core and applied topics that will broaden your knowledge of the universe of maths and its applications.
You will explore new and illuminating links between algebra, geometry and the theory of functions. Topics within this A Level include complex numbers and matrices, polar coordinates and new techniques for solving differential equations – equations involving functions and their derivatives.
The course will strengthen your ability to prove results mathematically and to understand mathematical proofs. There will also be material on statistics and mechanics extending the statistics and mechanics you will learn in A Level Maths.
Course Details
- You will need to have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above including English or equivalent
