Foundations of Strength and Conditioning (Trainer) Certificate Level 2
This qualification aims to develop the knowledge and skills of students so they can engage, facilitate, educate, and support clients in a strength and conditioning environment. On successful completion of this qualification, students will be able to seek employment and perform competently as a Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Trainer.

The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) professional standards for a Strength and Conditioning Trainer.
Course Details
- We advise that all applicants should hold a Level 3 personal training qualification. However, students holding a Level 2 fitness instructor qualification may also be considered, depending on their knowledge and experience.
Principles of working in the strength and conditioning environment, including customer service and how to maintain health, safety and welfare
How to conduct consultations and promote the health benefits of physical activity and strength and conditioning
How to communicate with clients effectively, and motivate clients to adhere to a strength and conditioning exercise programme
The skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare a strength and conditioning-based exercise programme with apparently healthy adults, both individuals and groups. This may include older adults (50 plus) and young people in the 11-18 age range, provided they are part of a larger adult group

I’ve recently completed my Level 5 HR Consultant Partner Apprenticeship at South Devon College and have enjoyed every minute!
