The Forest School Level 3 course is suitable if you wish to run your own Forest School or to be a qualified Forest School leader within an educational setting.
You will take part in practical sessions held in South Devon College’s woodland, which are supplemented with online lessons, activities and reading. You will have nine months to attend sessions, gain valuable Forest School work experience and complete a portfolio of evidence.
You will need access to Forest School sessions to gain practical work experience of planning and delivering six sessions with the same group. Please be aware that The Department for Education’s minimum age for a Forest School Leader is 21, but assistants can be younger.
Please note, cohorts will begin in February (Monday afternoons) and March (Tuesday evenings).
Remember to bring suitable clothing as sessions take place whatever the weather!
