This is a fun, relaxed course where learners will make five different styles of flower arrangement suitable to decorate a function or event using the best of the season’s flowers and foliage. The course is suitable for those who have completed a previous flower arranging course or have a little flower arranging experience. However complete beginners can also be accommodated. You will learn how to cut and condition flowers and how to construct or secure your floral mechanics. You will then be taught different styles and techniques that are used in today’s flower arranging environments. You will create a different design each week to take home. The tutor will demonstrate how to make each design first. You will then produce your own piece of work during the lesson and the tutor will be on hand for help and advice. You will be given feedback during and after each lesson. A peer/self/tutor evaluation session at the end of each class will enable you to share good ideas with other learners.
