Exercise Referral

This qualification is aimed at qualified fitness professionals who wish to learn how to provide assistance/advice and design exercise programmes for people with certain medical conditions which put their health at risk.

Before enrolling on this course, you must have the Level 2 certificate in Fitness Instructing Gym based exercise

The units covered are:

1.Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Health (Not required if you hold a recognised level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification)
2.Applying the Principles of Nutrition to a Physical Activity Programme (Not required if you hold a recognised level 3 Nutrition qualification)
3.Instructing Exercise with Referred Patients
4.Professional Practice for Exercise Referral Instructors
5.Understanding Medical Conditions for Exercise Referral
6.Planning Exercise Referral Programmes with Patients

FC Courses marked are full cost with no reductions available.
T2 Courses marked may entitle you to free tuition fees if you are enrolling on your first full Level 2 qualification and are 19 to 23 years olds.
T3 Courses marked may entitle you to free tuition fees if you are enrolling on your first full Level 3 qualification and are 19 to 23 years olds.
19+ Courses marked may entitle you to an Advanced Learning Loan to help fund your studies, available for learners aged 19 or over.
