Exercise for 50+
This course aims to promote fitness, well-being, good posture and core strength. You will learn a variety of exercises aimed at keeping your body toned and supple, increase your strength and stamina and aid your co-ordination, mobility and mental agility.
As the course progresses you will notice an increase in your fitness levels and general sense of wellbeing. Each lesson consists of a series of varied exercises carried out on a follow-the-leader basis without musical accompaniment. A warm up session is followed by use of hand weights, stretches, floor work and a cool down. The occasional use of apparatus such as balls, weighted balls, and hoops, adds variety and interest to improve flexibility, co-ordination and physical endurance. You will work to your own level of ability in a friendly social environment.
