Electrical Installation

This stand-alone NVQ is a level 3 qualification and is essentially a diary of the work you carry out while in the employ of a practicing electrician.
Our Assessor will visit you on-site a number of times to assess your competence and you will be required to attend college workshops on a mutually agreed basis.
Upon completion of your NVQ, you will be required to sit an external exam (AM2) at another college which forms the summative assessment of your competence.

Entry requirements:

You will need to be computer literate as the diary is electronic. (Initial training will be given).

You will need to be working within the Industry and have already completed a level 2 AND level 3 in Electrical Installation. (Certificates will need to be seen)

Your employer/place of work will need to be able to cover the installation requirements as determined by our Assessor.

You might be required to complete additional theory units (where appropriate) as home study along with sitting the associated online exams.

The price includes your e-portfolio licence, the NVQ assessments and the AM2 test.

Before enrolling on this course, please check your eligibility on 01803 540561.

What will I learn?

“I chose to study at South Devon College as I've always had an interest in trades. It's a great place to learn about the industry before entering the workplace. The staff are really helpful and I prefer the College environment to school as you're treated more like an adult. It’s a really fun and exciting course."Charlie Capewell
