If you would like to develop your counselling skills for use in your current role or you are looking to progress towards accredited counsellor status with one of the counselling professional accrediting bodies, this course is for you.
The NCFE CACHE Counselling Skills Diploma will provide you with in-depth knowledge of the use of counselling skills in everyday life and work, and the approaches that underpin the use of these skills. If you currently work in health, education, social support or human resources you may find this qualification particularly useful. The course may also complement other industries such as psychology, criminology, education, social work, health care, children’s care, learning and development, voluntary and community work.
Please note: undertaking this qualification does not make you qualified to practise as a counsellor. However, it can support your progression in a number of roles including: Support Worker (supported living), Healthcare Support Service Worker, Clinical Healthcare Support Worker, Mental Health Support Worker, Information, Advice and Guidance Worker and Health Education/Health Promotion Worker.
"The College and my tutors have provided me with skills that I need to go forward with my business, and is really encouraging in putting skills into practice on a regular basis. Having a network of other talented students is really beneficial for me to build working relationships with and collaborate on projects I am working on at the moment."Jake Raine-Harries
