CILEx Paralegal Apprenticeship

This is an 18 month apprenticeship with classroom delivery for one afternoon a week over 36 weeks
The qualification, Diploma in Providing Legal Services, meets the criteria for the Paralegal Trailblazer Apprenticeship. The course is competence-based and assessed through a portfolio of evidence, meaning that an applicant must be performing a legal role in a legal workplace in order to meet the requirements of the qualification.
This course is ideal if you wish to become a Paralegal/Legal Assistant, move into a Legal Services career or further develop your skills within an existing role. The qualification is suitable if you are in a longer standing role within the Legal Services sector and are looking to develop skills in a new area of work
The units you will study are: Business structures and compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements in the provision of legal services; Communicating effectively while maintaining the security of information; Drafting legal documents; Managing files for legal matters; Planning and managing your own workload; Conducting legal research;
Processing clients’ instructions; Applying relevant costs and billing requirements in relation to legal matters; Contributing to effective team working; Maintaining and developing knowledge, skills and competence

What will I learn?

The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship gave me the opportunity to meet other leaders from the local area and widen my experience and network. The course gave me an all round management qualification, allowing me to widen my strategic thinking and develop my staff.  Mark Andrews
