Children’s Fitness Instructor

The level 2 Children’s Fitness Instructor certificate is available to individuals who wish to run health related exercise sessions for children and those who are already running such sessions without a formal qualification (prerequisite is the level 2 Fitness Instructor Theory qualification). To qualify for this Children’s Fitness Instructor qualification, it is required that you pass the level 2 Fitness Theory Mandatory Units. On completion you will be qualified to work as a health related exercise instructor for children aged 5-15 years, in the community, schools or leisure centres. You will learn through both theory and practical sessions taught by a team of highly qualified, professional and experienced teachers, trainers and assessors.

1. How to plan, teach & evaluate a safe and effective health related exercise session for children
2. How to adapt exercise for a child with specific needs and requirements
3. Induction for people working with children in an active leisure setting
