The Childcare and Education course is suitable for people who have a passion for working with children, and aspire to work at an unsupervised level. This two year course balances theoretical and practical study, giving you the tools to succeed in this rewarding sector.
You will be based in College for four days a week, with a placement for one day a week in an early years setting, where you apply your knowledge of theories relating to child development and educational practice.
Upon completion, you could consider employment or apply to the Early Years Care and Education Foundation Degree at South Devon College.
"The course was local and exactly what I needed to further my career. When I opened my results I felt so happy and very proud of myself, gaining a first was a result of both the hard work and the guidance I received from the course team. I can now fulfil my ambition of opening a kindergarten abroad."Ben Steadman
