Understanding Autism Certificate

The Understanding Autism Certificate Level 3 is designed for those who are supporting (or wishing to support) those with autism. This is a classroom based course where you will have the support of a personal tutor and a network of peers.

Perhaps you work with people, or have a family member with this diagnosis? The course will increase your understanding of autism and provide you with techniques and strategies to support individuals.

This course runs from September to June, either on a Wednesday morning (9.30 – 12.30) or a Tuesday evening (5pm – 8pm). You may be eligible for funding for this course via an Advanced Learner Loan.

There is a wide variety of financial support available for adults to help fund your studies with us. The funding you can receive depends on your personal circumstances, and could mean you are entitled to free or reduced course fees. You may also be entitled to support with travel, childcare and equipment. To find out exactly what you could receive, contact our Helpzone team for a free, impartial appointment, with no commitment necessary.

Studying an Adult Community Learning course allowed me to learn new skills from experienced tutors and develop my hobby further. I really enjoyed every part of it.Stephen Wilks-Brown
